Blake Walker – Dedicated Physical Therapist Assistant & Advocate for Youth Athletics
Blake Walker is a Florence, SC native with a deep-rooted passion for sports medicine, youth athletics, and orthopedic rehabilitation. Growing up, he was immersed in basketball, experiencing firsthand the challenges of sports-related injuries—particularly ankle sprains that were never properly rehabilitated. This personal experience ignited his interest in physical therapy and inspired him to help others recover, perform, and move better.
Education & Professional Background
- Bachelor of Science in Exercise & Sport Science (2021) – Coastal Carolina University.
- Internship at ProMotion Rehab & Sports Medicine (Florence Clinic) – Gained hands-on experience as a student before being hired as a PT Tech/Aide.
- Associate’s Degree in Applied Science (2023) – Majored in Physical Therapist Assistant through Florence-Darlington Technical College’s PTA Expansion Program with Greenville Technical College.
Blake now serves as a Physical Therapist Assistant at ProMotion’s Florence and Lake City clinics, bringing energy, knowledge, and a patient-centered approach to rehabilitation.
Special Interests & Expertise
As a young clinician, Blake has worked with a wide range of patients, treating orthopedic conditions, sports injuries, and neurological diagnoses such as stroke, multiple sclerosis, and spinal cord injuries. His passion, however, is in:
- Sports Medicine & Athletic Rehabilitation – Helping athletes recover, prevent injuries, and optimize performance.
- Lower Extremity Injuries & Functional Mobility – Specializing in conditions affecting the ankle, knee, and hip.
- Orthopedic & Neurological Rehabilitation – Providing tailored interventions for post-surgical recovery, mobility improvement, and functional independence.
- Exercise-Based Therapy & Manual Techniques – Believing in the power of movement to restore function and improve quality of life.
Commitment to Youth Athletics & Community Impact
Beyond the clinic, Blake is deeply involved in youth athletic development in Florence, SC. He serves as the Director of Palmetto Pride Basketball Association, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that provides coaching, mentorship, and athletic opportunities for young student-athletes during the spring and summer months. Through this program, Blake helps shape the next generation of athletes, emphasizing skill development, injury prevention, and the value of hard work and perseverance.
Life Beyond Work
When he’s not coaching, mentoring, or working with patients, Blake enjoys watching Marvel movies, traveling, listening to music, and working out. His passion for athletics, movement, and community engagement fuels his dedication to helping patients and young athletes reach their full potential.
