Biography

Dr. Chris Wilson, PT, DPT, is a Physical Therapist, United States Air Force veteran, and lifelong learner with nearly two decades of leadership experience and more than a decade of clinical experience across a variety of settings to include outpatient orthopedics and sports medicine. Known for his forward-thinking and collaborative approach, he brings a deep commitment to helping patients restore movement, overcome pain, and return to the activities they love.

Expertise and Certifications

Chris is certified in Selective Functional Movement Assessment (SFMA) and Dry Needling, with additional expertise in ACL rehabilitation, fitness-based and hands-on pain management, and primary care physical therapy. He is an active member of the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA), including the South Carolina Chapter, Private Practice, Orthopedic, and Sports Sections.

Throughout his career, he has led multidisciplinary therapy teams, embraced wellness and fitness as part of a holistic approach to patient care, and authored and spoke on topics such as professionalism and novel models of patient care. His leadership and dedication have been recognized through honors such as APTA Emerging Leader, Kevin Wilk Sports Physical Therapy Fellow, APTA Scholar Leader and Patient's Choice Awards for excellence in patient care.

Patient-Centered Approach to Physical Therapy

Chris believes every patient’s journey is unique and emphasizes a personalized, evidence-based approach to care. He integrates movement analysis, hands-on therapy, and patient education to empower individuals to take an active role in their recovery. His philosophy combines the discipline and teamwork learned from his Air Force service with a compassionate, results-driven mindset, helping patients gain lasting confidence and results in their movement.

Life Beyond the Clinic

Outside the clinic, Chris enjoys spending time with his wife, two children, and their yellow lab, Cookie. He loves hiking, fantasy football, and cheering for the Washington Commanders, Ohio State Buckeyes, and his adopted home team, the South Carolina Gamecocks. Whether in the clinic or the community, Chris is driven by curiosity, innovation, and a desire to challenge the status quo to drive continual progress.
