Biography
Blake McDonald, a native of West Columbia, SC, is passionate about helping patients regain function, build strength, and improve their overall quality of life. Having lived in multiple cities and states in various leadership roles, he has gained invaluable professional and life experiences that reinforce the importance of a healthy lifestyle and shape his approach to physical therapy.
As a licensed Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA), Blake specializes in executing personalized, goal-driven rehabilitation programs tailored to each patient’s unique needs, from prehab to performance. He has a particular interest in corrective exercise, focusing on muscle imbalances and pain related to postural and movement dysfunctions. His hands-on approach emphasizes restoring mobility, preventing injury, and optimizing movement for long-term wellness.
In addition to his work as a PTA, Blake is a certified personal trainer through the American Council on Exercise. He enjoys coaching clients on lifestyle modifications, building sustainable healthy habits, and developing customized fitness programs to support their individual goals.
Outside the clinic, Blake embraces the great outdoors. Whether backpacking, biking, canoeing, or hiking, he thrives in nature, cooling off in the mountains, enjoying the beach, or exploring Columbia’s scenic river walks.
