Biography
Dr. Jessica Hightower earned her Doctor of Physical Therapy from the University of South Carolina in 2020 and graduated Summa Cum Laude from Georgia State University in 2017 with her Bachelor's in Exercise Science. While at Georgia State, she represented the Division 1 Beach Volleyball team, which gives her a special understanding of the time and dedication required to perform optimally while staying injury-free.
Since graduating from USC, Dr. Hightower worked as a traveling physical therapist. She completed 11 assignments across the nation in seven different states, in all setting types. Through these adventures, Jessica gained unique skills treating a variety of patients across the age and ability span, as well as interacting with practitioners and patients from diverse backgrounds. As she joins the ProMotion team in 2024, Dr. Hightower is excited to share her knowledge and experience with patients in the Columbia area that she now calls home. Her passion for physical therapy stems from the desire to help patients achieve their movement goals, while treating the entire person as a whole. Through continuing education and a patient-centered approach, Dr. Hightower creates individualized treatment plans to aid patient recovery and reach their full potential.
Jessica is an outdoor enthusiast, and when she is not in the clinic you can find her climbing, running, biking, swimming, paddling, hiking or camping, rain or shine. To fuel her adventures, she also enjoys creating in the kitchen and baking sweet treats.
