Momentum HOT YOGA is Columbia's newest INFRARED YOGA studio. Our studio offers multilevel hot vinyasa yoga classes 6 days a week that are led by our talented and passionate 200-500 hour certified yoga instructors. All classes are heated between 85 and 95 deg, which promotes increased circulation, flexibility, lymphatic drainage, detoxification and digestion, improved sleep quality, reduced inflammation, and a prolonged calorie burn, among other benefits. Each of our classes is completed with an optional cool lavender cloth during savasana.

Hot yoga through our infrared heaters creates a better experience than forced air heating systems. Instead of blowing dust and allergens around the room and potentially causing a "dried out" feeling after class as forced air systems can sometimes do, a session with infrared heat feels cleaner and more energizing because it heats the people and objects in the room, rather than the air. Infrared heat gets absorbed deep under the skin's surface and helps to detox the body through sweat, relieving aches and pains, and helping the body access poses more easily for a more effective and optimized practice.

Yoga is a form of exercise with decades of research that supports its use for fitness, injury prevention, and stress relief. Our Instructor-led classes are suitable for beginners and experienced yogis, alike. There is a strong emphasis on breathing and coordinating your breathing with movement. This assists with optimal performance of postures and cardiorespiratory efficiency as you grow in your yoga practice.

In addition, yoga is self-paced and pressure-free. Students are free to move at a pace that is comfortable for them. Yoga is also fantastic for mental health. Practicing yoga assists with managing anxiety, decreasing stress, and can help improve sleep patterns with regular practice. Hot yoga can further benefit individuals by increasing circulation and lymphatic drainage more quickly, aiding in detoxification and digestion, and promoting a prolonged calorie burn for healthy weight maintenance and weight loss.
